Confirm total purity and critical elements separately.
Supplier evaluation
A practical framework for evaluating a high-purity aluminium supplier
Supplier selection should not rest on an N-grade or certificate logo alone. The key question is whether specification, batch testing, documents, and delivery scope fit the project together.

Review report number, certificate scope, and validity.
Agree required scope and batch linkage before order.
Confirm MOQ, timing, packaging, and logistics by project.
01
Quality of the technical response
A suitable supplier can map minimum aluminium content, critical element limits, form, tolerances, and test requirements directly against the RFQ.
Check whether typical values are clearly separated from guaranteed acceptance criteria and whether deviations are disclosed.
02
Evidence in the correct context
Review certificate number, issuer, validity, and scope. A 110,000 t scope on a certificate is not proof of one supplier’s annual capacity.
HUABO publishes RoHS report numbers, ISO certificate numbers, and the green-power product evaluation identifier. The buyer determines whether the evidence meets project requirements.
03
Process and delivery capability
Ask for confirmed current capacity, lot planning, change control, packaging, marking, and export coordination.
HUABO states current capacity of 5,000 t/year and planned capacity of 30,000 t/year. Capacity is not the same as actual sales volume or guaranteed project availability.
04
Qualify with a clearly defined project
A well-specified trial can test chemistry, documentation, communication, and logistics. Define success criteria and the route to follow-on procurement in advance.
Price, MOQ, availability, and lead time should only be compared after the same technical review.
FAQ
Short answers for procurement and engineering
Which evidence should a buyer verify independently?
Issuer, identifier, validity, scope, connection to the offered material, and suitability for internal project approval.
Does certificate scope prove supply capacity?
No. Certificate scope, production capacity, actual production, and project availability are different figures.
How should qualification begin?
With a complete RFQ, defined success criteria, and an agreed trial or initial delivery.
